Related
- Focal lengthThe lens value in millimetres that sets the angle of view: shorter is wider, longer is tighter. On smaller sensors the same lens frames tighter, so it is compared in full-frame equivalents.
- T-stopAn aperture value based on light actually transmitted through the lens, so lenses set to the same T-stop give the same exposure. Standard on cine lenses.
- ZoomChanging the lens focal length to magnify (zoom in) or widen (zoom out) the image without moving the camera; unlike a dolly move, perspective does not change.
